Cherry pie is fully baked with the cherry filling insight it. It is mostly eaten with ice cream or whipped cream Cherry pie is a mixture of Pie crust, cherries.
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/3 container crude sugar
- 2 tablespoons corn flour
- 1 egg white, delicately beaten
- Vanilla ice-cream, to serve
- 1 1/3 containers plain flour
- 1/2 container self-rising flour
- 1/4 container custard powder
- 1/4 container caster sugar
- 150 gm spread, chilled, hacked
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons frosty water
- Make Pastry Place flours, custard powder, sugar and margarine in a nourishment processor. Process until blend looks like fine breadcrumbs.
- Include egg and frosted water. Process until mixture just meets up. Turn cake out onto a daintily floured surface. Massage until simply smooth. Shape into a ring. Spread in plastic binding. Refrigerate for 30 minutes
- In the interim, consolidate fruits, lemon juice, cinnamon and 1/4 glass honey in an average pot over medium warmth. Cook, blending, for 5 minutes or until fruits have defrosted and sugar is broken up.
- Mix corn flour with 1 tablespoon frosty water in a little bowl. Blend into cherry blend. Cook, mixing, for 2 to 3 minutes or until blend bubbles and thickens. Cool totally.
- Preheat broiler to 200°C/180°C fan-constrained. Place a broiler plate in stove. Oil a 4 cm-profound, 20 cm (base) round pie dish.
- Take off 66% of the baked good between 2 sheets of heating paper until sufficiently vast to line base and side of arranged dish (around 30 cm). Line dish with baked good. Trim edge. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
- Spoon cooled cherry blend into cake. Take off remaining cake between 2 sheets preparing paper, to frame a 25 cm-round (see note). Utilizing a sharp blade, cut baked good round into extensive strips. Mastermind baked good strips over filling to make a crosswise grid design. Press edges to seal. Trim edge.
- Brush baked good with a little egg white. Sprinkle with remaining sugar. Place pie dish on warmed plate in broiler. Heat for 40 to 45 minutes or until baked good is brilliant and fresh (cover cake edge with foil if over-searing).
- Stand for no less than 15 minutes before cutting. Present with dessert.
